Talked to Rob (Towpro) last night and we are looking at doing the next Skyline Drive ride on October 6th. We had a good turn-outon the last rideand hope we can get even more this time. We are going to work out the exact details as it gets a little closer. But at least we have a date so everyone can start planning. Meeting place will probably be Winchester Harley again.
How long of a ride is it anyway?

It depends on where we go & how many stops we make. I tend to make quite a few stops when there is alot of people in the group. Some like to stay in the saddle, like me, for 100/150 miles.....but some don't like riding that type of distance, or their *** just needs a break....LOL.

I see your about 150 miles from Front Royal where the entrance to Skyline is.....feel free to come on down & join us, all are welcome. Last time we had 23 people in all, & it was a great ride with some dam good peeps.

I'll mark the calendar. Missed the last one and went with the wife and some friends two sundays ago... Skyline is always nice and I have a thing for the blackberry ice cream at Big Meadows...

I'm going to start working on my bride about this one too. We've talked about doing Skyline in the Fall and that would be a good weekend. The only hitch is, I have to tread lightly on the wife about it... the sixth is her birthday...

Date noted. May even bring the wife on this one--should be cool enough for her by then.

If the OL doesn't have me tied up (get yer mind outa the gutter) I'll be there. I missed everybody at Gettysburg. Made the mistake of comin across 30 from York and sat in traffic so long that I only made the rounds at Battlefield HD and it wuz time to head home.

Do you know how far down Skyline you're going to be doing? I'm just west of Harrisonburg on 33 and would definately be interested in riding down as far as 33. I also have several of the guys from here on base trying to see if they can get that day free to go as well.
