I run low beams also with the passing lamps on all the time which shows up better then just the high beam.

I'm with you, unless the high beams are needed for distance, I think the 3 lights are more visable than 1 even at a higher power...

highbeam during the day . and low at night and i do have driving lights that work off the main switch so they work the same .we can only hope they see us .

Not a good idea, some people take that as a signal to go ahead and turn. You're inviting trouble with that one. IMHO
