To get the grip to "Stick" use gel superglue. It gives just a second or two to set the grip where you want, then locks it permanently. If you screw it up, then use a piece of coathanger, straightenened out to break the glue and try again!

Either that or try the double-sided tape they use for re-gripping golf clubs. Pretty easy. Will set up fast, so don't stop to admire your new grips before you've seated it.

Best thing I havefound is the silicone gasket stuff..The stuff that comes in the tube like toothpaste.Take a while till its set up but it works for me..Put it on in the evening and let it set all nite ..It also gives you some grace time to position your grip..

I used some high temp pipe sealer on mine, get tacky and sets up in about 4 hours giving you time to readjust the grip if you need to, and holds tight when it sets up. You can still remove the grip later without messing it all up getting it back off, important to me since mine are CNC machined and chromed. In fact it works on exhaust leaks too, repaired my mufflers where I had an exhaust leak at the joint, just removed it, applied the sealant and put the mufflers back on. Remember the high temp stuff that's good for about 1500 degrees, you probably wouldn't need that high for the grips though, just didn't want to throw an unused tube away so I did the grips too. Worked great for me and didn't eat up the rubber inside the grips.

I just pour a little gas down the inside of the grip and then slap it on. Get it right the first time though because it ain't coming back off.

Step 10 - Apply glue to the inside of the grip. Try to get the one entire tube of glue distributed evenly inside the grip.
That is an important step. When you put the glue inside the grip it pretty much stays there and doesn't end up all over like it can if you put the glue on the bar and slide the grip over it.
