I have noticed that every so often on a post someone will mention that Honda is looking to buy Harley Davidson.
Where did this get started? is there some fact behind it?
Whats up? can someone tell me what is going on with that?

 

It's a joke. Honda couldn't afford Harley.

 

if that was to happen,......we'd be back to building our own.

 

Harley and Ducati were rumored to be merging at one point, but nothing really came out of it. I think Harley was hoping to gain their maintenance intervals to make more money for the dealers.

Honda could afford Harley, no doubt about it. There were some rumors about it, think it was in Forbes and some other magazines. Don't know if there ever was any truth behind it though.

 

Honda spent more on racing sponserships last year than it would cost them to buy Harley. I hope like hell it never happens but Honda is a big dog with deep pockets.
