Question for all you bike cops

RE: Question for all you bike cops
Back to the original intent. They are like anyone else, some will wave, some won't.
I have waved and received waves back by motor officers and officers in cages.
Don't be offended by it, you'll drive yourself nuts worrying about all the riders that don't wave.

RE: Question for all you bike cops
Around here all the motor officers wave back. As I've mentioned before, I am a Volunteer in Public Safety, and many of the cage officers know me too and will wave at me on the street. The motor cops drool over my Ultra. More officers than I ever imagined are into motorcycles off duty too. I am currently riding with a lieutenant, a captain, a corrections officer, and a police chief, with others wanting to buy bikes and go with us. May have something to do with our spectacular riding country, don't know.[:-]

RE: Question for all you bike cops
I work in a beach city in SoCal and if a rider waves to me I will wave back, unless I am focused on stopping someone, using my radio, etc... My agency rides Honda ST1300's so I don't get many Harley's waving to me even if I initiate it. I know they most likely would have waved if I was on my Road King and not the honda, although maybe its just cause I am a cop. It is interesting to see the ego's on some people just because they ride a certain type of bike.

I'll wave at the motorcops if they don't look busy. Tics me off that they get paid to ride, and I have to pay to ride!!!
