I pack my stuff in my jeans

 

I usually throw everything I think I need into a pile, then I get rid of 3/4 of it. I guess that comes from my old Recon days and packing as light as possible. I only take what I think I really need. After each long trip you learn what you need and don't need.
And don't forget toothpicks...

 

 

I'll bet that looks funny when you try to pull out your rain gear!
