Default Trouble in Sturgis???

Hey, thought this might be interesting to get responses. Im planning a Sturgis trip next year. I have never been there and am going with another guy that has only been there one time.
Is there any particular places that are "off limits" or any areas that the gangs take over when they come to town?
I watched "The Wild One" and now I am scared!
Now, dont get me wrong, I am not looking for trouble. Just want to avoid any throwdowns if you know what I mean.
Thanks

If I were you I'd stay out of the mens room. It sounds as if the Ladies room would be more appropriate for yourself.

You'll be just fine. Sometimes you see the 1% crowd around Sturgis bars or in some of the other areas but they usually don't hassle anyone unless you show them some disrespect. Most of the 1% guys are just fine to talk to as long as you aren't a smart *** looking for trouble. I have no problem saying hi to any fellow biker at a gas station or anywhere else. If they don't respond, fine, just go about your business. These days the 1% crowd is constantly hasseled by the law where ever they go, they won't want to bring any heat on themselves without a reason. Never give them a reason!

Seriously though, this was my first year at Sturgis. I also was a little leary of some of the areas. You will find out really quick that the majority of the folks there are just like you and me. There are a few of the "hard core" bikers around but they just want to ride and have a good time also. Granted, their idea of a good time might be different than yours so make sure you watch what you say and dont' be an ***.

Don't lose any sleep worrying about it. Go and have fun.
