If you see a patch holder in public, just show respect. If you aren't supposed to be somewhere there will be sentries out front and you will be let known that you need to leave.

What a post for your 13th. Ya coulda made it a really radical one
I haven't been to sturgis, but I been places alot of the 1%'s have, and as long as you respect people, or more to the point, don't disrespect them, you shouldn't have a problem.
Make sure you have fuel It would suck running out, but then you meet some interesting folks that way
My most memorable journeys are the ones that involve helping or being helped by other people.
Oh yeah, wear your leather underwear!

RE: Trouble in Sturgis???
I was at a 3 day biker event down the jersey shore this time last year and on saturday night it rained hard for a few minutes, everybody is tryin to find cover.......we end up under one of the hotel's awnings with a bunch of patchholders from a well known club. there wasnt any trouble.
as has been said over and over......dont be disrespectful OR overly nice and you wont have any problem.
