What Petemac said.
Places to see:
Yellow Stone
Devils Tower
Mt. Rushmore
Geographical Center of the United States (Nothing there but a small town, but really, really nice people and kind of neat to say you have been to the center of the country)

RE: one week no wife no kid!!!!
ok same question different direction. I will be taking off on 9/26 heading for oregon only about 12 miles but figure to be on the road 3 days going and returning. ok I'm older than dirt and take it easy 500 mile days are a little long for me.

You forgot the Makers Mark. Don't leave home without it. For those long no ride nights of course.

No wife, no kids... don't forget bail money In addition to basic tools and rain gear I like to carry spare glasses/goggles, a few spare bulbs, make sure you havesome extrafuses and some duct tape. Duct tape has been a staple of mine for road trips and has found many uses.
