I could see (no pun intended) "misreading" the visual from certain polarized lenses - The tar snakes & such doesn't bug me at all (it makes them a little more obvious than I'd like, but there you go).

But in any case, I think my polarized lenses have saved my butt more than they've endangered it.

If it helps, certain types & brands are definitely more obnoxious than others - especially when looking through plastic or Lexan.

I get (VERY) picky about my specs... Windjammers (dist. by Kuryakyn) are some of the better polarized glasses (that actually keep the wind out) that I've used. Plus, they're photo-sensitive...
