Thanks for the tip. I have been wearing a pair of polarized glasses all summer and didn't realize that they would make it difficult to see liquids on the road surface. Makes perfect sense now that I think about it. I guess I better start wearing one of the new pairs of Wiley X glasses I got the great deal on.

...when I spoke to the sales rep at Wiley-X, she told me not to order "polarized" lenses because of certain visual constraints when riding a motorcycle, including the detection of liquids on the road....so beware.

Thanks for the heads up , my last couple pairs of sunglasses are polarized . Never realized I might have an issue with them . Need a new pair as both are scratched , be sure to get unpolarized this time around .

One thing that really bothers me is when I wear my 3/4 helmet with a flip-up shield , the shield is tinted and makes EVERYTHING look like its painted in that chameleon paint . Just looking at the shield from the outside you can see a rainbow effect .

Excellent post ! I use polarized sunglasses for spotting fish through the glare on the surface of the water, they are excellent for that, Never even thought about how that same characteristic could be dangerous while wearing them during ridin.....Makes alot of sense! Thanks for posting this bro !

Never really thought about it. I wonder if mine are or not. Probably not. They cost 10 bucks

You can tell if yours are or not by looking at car windows while wearing them . Most car windows are polarized also , when viewing polarized windows through polarized glasses it will make the window have a cross checked look .
