My Friends Choice.
#22
I had a best friend that desperately needed a car. He inherited $10K and set out to find a $10K car. He found a old high milage Subaru WRX on Craigslist. The kid selling it stated the engine was running rich. I tried my best to point out it may not be the best idea buying a car from a young kid that you are told upfront the engine has issues. My buddy wanted that WRX so bad he could taste it so he give that kid his $10K
My buddy got exactly10K miles out of that car and had total engine failure and then sold the car for scrap all in a matter of months.
Only then did my friend ask for my help so I called a car sales buddy and told him the situation and ask him to take care of my friend.
He purchased a $8K car that to this day, many years later that car has been perfect.
The old saying comes to mind "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink”...
People sometime need to make ones own mistake.
