Really? I remember drivers being pretty good back home but it's been since 1995 since I've lived there. You're not at the rally in Butler??

'Course if someone has that much anxiety, staying home probably wont help. Careful in that shower

I got hit in the *** on the xway 16 years ago, damn near killed me. My wife's second question was: are you done riding"? I followed with an immediate, no. I've been on well over 100 motorcycle accidents. Some fatales others badly hurt or, not so much. It was part of my job. I've never dwelled on any of them or I would have quit riding years ago. Everyone one deals with things like this differently. If you are going to ride scared, put the bike up. But, don't sell it.

Well similar **** happened to me today I’m on a road with 55 speed limit and Prius pulled right in front of me from the stop sign., as she told the deputy - she “thought” it’s a 4 way stop, which it obviously wasn’t. Hit her hard, went over her vehicle, rolled. Nothing broken, very light scratch on the helmet, at least was able to walk away from it.
Oh and the crash detection works real good 😊 When I stood up and was trying to figure out if anything broken I’ve heard my phone “talking” apparently it already sent notification to my son, with map pin and I was already on the phone with 911 operator.
Will wait what insurance says. I guess it could have been much worse.

I broke both bones in my lower left leg over labor day weekend in 2016 on a ride, almost got rearend by another motorcycle, i got out of the way but I did it ugly. My wife asked if I was done riding, I said "nope", but it did take me about 12 to 18 months to really feel comfortable again, and didn't realize I some some PTSD due to it, everytime I heard a hard brake I just started locking up. Having had some close calls with inattentive drivers, those don't bother me anymore.

I quite nearly got killed about 12 years ago by a truck driving the wrong direction on the interstate when he hit me on my Ultra.

22 broken bones, including pelvis and knee, and 9 of the bones broken were in my foot. Was in bed 4.5 months before taking my first step.

The first month was just a haze, but I knew I would ride again by the time my mind was starting to clear from all the drugs.

It was that accident that got me to slow my life down a bit and start taking epic rides with Mary each year. Never know when ones time on this earth is up.

Gotta make the decision that you will be happy with.

Kevin

A pick up truck cut me off on hwy in 2015 doing 75 mph. Luckily I survived but bike was totaled. It took me few years to gain my confidence back. Even now every time I overtake a vehicle it goes through my mind.

Well, unfortunately I can contribute to the "Wreck" thread, recovering right now.
Been living in the house of pain, 6 broken ribs, fractured scapula, broken teeth, plenty road rash from hell, can see though to one knee cap. The wife has a broken foot, hand, collar bone, some rash, the worse of her rash is a ground down big toe.
In two days will make it a month since.
We were on the '17 RG, insurance totaled bike, got compensated fair for the bike, bought it back, it will only take a small portion of the pay off to repair the bike being I do all the work and painting anyway.
Already been slowly repairing the bike, as slow is my only speed right now, Ebay to the rescue.
Odd thing is I paid our Mausoleum burial vaults with the insurance payment, the vaults were arranged before the wreck, not because of.
The ride again thought passed through our heads for a moment, then was gone, it's not like riding is all of a sudden dangerous, we accepted that from the beginning.
