Default Bead Rider seat cover?

I bought a Saddlemen Slim for my '11 Street Glide and I like the looks of it, but it's not comfortable to me for more than a couple hours. I went back to the OEM seat. I've heard a few people say they like the Bead Rider seat covers, and I'm thinking about getting one, but I'm looking for more opinions.

Slightly off topic, but not….when I got my Saddlemen I could only ride a couple hours before it hurt. It breaks in over time. I have over 1000 miles on the seat and it is breaking in to where it is comfortable

I haven't used one myself, but over the last 40 years I've known and ridden with about 5 different people who've had them and liked them.

Sorry to introduce another option. WindRider seat cover. Used one a couple months ago to ride from NC to Alaska and back. 10K miles in 25 days. Hot, cold, wet - It was a game changer. Best to you.

I have used bead rider and liked it in hot weather. Sat me higher (I'm short) so went with Harley ventilator seat pad. Thinking of switching to something else for a change, like wild *** or airhawk.

I have about 3,000 miles on mine. I rode with it most of the summer and decided the problem for me is that it's too narrow. It's easy to move around on which is a plus when I get uncomfortable, but I get uncomfortable sooner.

I actually have one for my street glide, and I completely agree, but that material will rub the fender & tank where it touches down to bare metal over time. I've been riding with a seat pad made of a similar material that I got off Amazon, but it doesn't flow air nearly as well as the Wind Rider. That's what brought me to the Bead Rider option.

Saddlemen seats do not look comfortable and do not feel comfortable. How someone would spend good money on something that looks like someone cut a piece of plywood and screwed the two pieces together...Covered it all with some nice leather (marine vinyl I assume) and threw on some minimal padding, is beyond my comprehension. How are they still in business?? I have this rock in my backyard that kinda looks like a seat. I wonder if someone would buy it for their bike?

My wife took a demo on her 21 Heritage and barely got through a long Saturday ride. She was sore for days. I thought I'd give it a try and rode hers back to the dealer. We swapped bikes and she took mine which was recently redone by Mean City and is absolutely amazing!! That was the worse motorcycle experience I've ever had and was only 10 miles.

Sorry for the rant. I know guys like them but I am still wondering why. How?

Yep, mine was very expensive but worth every penny. I've said it before....If you like the basic shape of your seat but need it tweaked, padded and, of course, the custom stitching to set yours apart from everyone else's call MCC.
