Mind you I will not be riding in the rain with this tire or going on any 300 mile trips . But I would like to get to the end of the riding season which for me is about Nov . Ok blast away !

 

Ride it "locally" until you see the wear stripes.



I did this once, just once. Can't even blame it on being young and stupid, as it was the spring of '19 when I did it.

P.S. You can spray WD-40 on the steel bits to keep them from rusting.

If it were mine, I would replace it or not plan on riding it more than to the store, etc.

I have had 8 motorcycles since 1975 and ridden well over 200,000 miles . And never rode a tire to that point or even smoked a tire for that point.

 

As long as you are only making hard left or right turns you are good for another 5K

Yes the chicken strips are still good for turns and when it comes to breaking I always break with both front and rear for stopping .
