I have a pair of these. Not too heavy, the soles are on the thinner side which is great for those with long legs. They are water proof and have the laces and a side zipper. They are similar to the HD Hagermans above, but are water proof as well. They are a bit hot on 90+ degree days, but what boot isn't. But I've ridden in weather in the high 20's and did not have cold feet.
TCX boots as well but I had heavy duty zippers installed. The OEM plastic failed by splitting open after maybe 60k miles on them. Still love the boot.

Ive got a pair of waterproof danner super rain forests, nicks something or other 6", and a pair of usa redwing lace ups. I wont do steel toes or slip ons.

For everyday use I just ride with my Redwing work boots or ropers, which I already have on 99% of the time. If I’m going on multi-day rides I usually wear these Daytona gore-tex touring boots. They are really comfortable and have held up pretty well. I would love to have a pair of well made proper engineer boots.

Corcoran 10 in. field boot.

Not real cheap but my last pair still look pretty good after 20 years and made in U.S.A.
