I got mine at 28, had to turn heat down,and learn how to work on it myself. Maybe some of you shave went the starving artist path

45?

Damn I was 36 when I bought my first NEW HD.

I had a 79 Shovelhead for years before that.... but I rode my GSXR-750 as it was actually quieter and I was working the night shift.

When I go to a large gathering at my local dealership, Lansing MI, I see lots of guys and women under 40. I'm 72, and there is more of us. If I had to average it out,, low to mid 40s. Just guessing.

It wouldn't throw the results at all. The study was surveying the ages of people who own Harleys not the number of Harleys they own.
