Tires & Tire Changer - My Decision

Those are handy, we have an old rubber valve stem with the spin on valve stem cap with the stem remover on top that works pretty well. There's also another tool that might be helpful - it looks like a piece of braided cable with the external thread (shown in the post above) on the end so you can spin it in to a new valve stem then fish it through the hole and pull the new stem through the rim.

I changed a lot of truck tires in a past life and using a quick fill adapter reduced bead seating problems. Tire guys called it a quickee. The oddball style connector was the only one the valve core and tool would fit through. Overkill for a motorcycle but those dealing with bigger tires might need one. Our mobile air compressors run 175 psi and that helps too.

Tires can be dangerous. Granted, motorcycle tires aren't nearly as massive as large truck or airplane tires, but just the same, one needs to be careful.
In just the past week, I've read stories of tires exploding and people dying.

Good tips here.....
Also, once the bead pops and is set, let all the air come back out to put the valve stem in. Tire is not going to come back off. I've watched guys try to put a valve stem in a fully aired up tire, fighting it, and there's no reason to.
