It appears (emphasis on appears) that anything remotely political gets moved to the paid-only forums. If I had to guess, it's an effort to keep spicy things from being out in the open. Obviously anyone can pay to see what's behind the curtain, but they do have to take that initial step.

Nothing new under the sun. It is only Harley's smaller and non-traditional models (IE, not Big Twins) that will be made in Thailand. Harley had its smaller bikes all made in Italy all through the 1970s. Smaller bikes sell for lower prices so the lower production costs over there are essential.
