Not that I am aware of, which is why I think most Helmet companies say to replace after a certain amount of time. Same thinking for tires that look good with plenty of tread, but are 10+ yrs old.
We will change our oil every 3,000 miles religiously, but will ride on worn tires or old helmets forever. Lol

Probably the two MOST important safety items on a Motorcycle are the Tires and your Helmet, yet most of us try to extend their use WAY beyond what they should. I like the threads that say "I got 10,000 miles on these tires do you think I can get 2000 more" Lol

 

It looks good, smells good, and still fits my head perfect. Maybe it will last another 10 years, I hope...

 

not sure how old it is,,, my first dirt bike helmet... But it "Meets or exceeds 1971 standards"

 

Helmets aren't that expensive. If you're going to wear one, why not something from this decade?

 

My Arai was $650 back in 1999. That's not exactly pocket change...

 

I get it. My Shoei was $599 in 2019. I'm hanging it up after this season. To each their own.
