The Million Dollar Bogan would just keep riding it for another 100,000km. Just saying.

Depending on insurance company typically 60 to 78% will get you a total in the US

I suppose I "went down" I was taking off around a corner doing about 20KMH when she went out from under me on a wet road.

Thats what we call a slow speed slide. Not a drop. Did the frame bend or a case get torn up? In the US if a its just tins, a seat, cosmetics and 'stuff' it wouldnt be totaled BUT who knows with duty and parts costs down unda... Good luck and let us know how you make out.

A drop is your sitting on the bike and it falls on its side. Once motion is involved damage is a different level.

You dropped it??????

For you, this might be the best. Hope you find a bike you like, and don't lose riding time.

No, no, no. Never admit something like that.

You had to lay her down.

Exclamation assessors coming today

The insurance company's assessors are booked in to inspect my bike today. In about 5 hours I should know whether or not she'll be a write off.

Red face Finalised

Got a call from the insurance assessor today - the bike is "not economically repairable" - they are going to pay me out $28K which is better than what I was expecting.
Gonna hang onto it until next year's FLHTK model comes out with all the expected upgrades. Will take the bus to work for the rest of the year!
