Neck Pain

Surgery
Oh I hear you, and my fear of being crippled or worse has kept me from my surgeries. They keep telling me I could not have use of my limbs or control of my face, or worse die. I have numbness and tingling, can't walk barefoot, can't stand in one spot for long, and have lots of pain. I'm edging closer to giving in but then again I think I'm 71 years old. Tomorrow as a matter of fact. I've been saying for years "I can ride better than I can walk". But really, how much longer have I got?

Well I can tell you this I messed around with local Drs that weren't worth nothing , this lasted a year I was in major pain and basically dragging my right leg . I went to see a highly recommended Neurologist in Fayetteville . He had me in surgery in two days it was kinda rough afterwards . When all the feelings start coming back in your nerves it hurts . But within a month I was doing good pain was all gone could feel my leg could walk normal. Wish I could of had the surgery done sooner I really suffered for a year . The key is to get the best Dr you can find .

I too experience lower neck/upper left shoulder pain when I ride and have for years, ( stock bars ) I have noticed the more I ride the less it hurts as in not miles but if I don't ride over the winter it hurts bad in the spring then gets better over the summer.
I feel like I need to get my arms up with some mini apes or something but have never pulled the trigger.

I had that for years.
1. Relax your shoulders. A lot of folks tense up and don't realize their doing it.
2. Install handle bar vibration isolators.
3. Gel handle bar grips ie titty grips.
4. And I know I'll get all kinds of grief over this one. Find a good Chiropractor or Acupuncture doc. In memphis I use dr Lincoln Cole on white station. And Alexander Ly on highland.
5. Rub some lidocane on your neck & wrist before you ride.
