They proceeded to tell me. I then said...No, I'm wanting to know how much for just the oil change. Drop the oils and replace with a new filter... Then they said $380.00

So It's fine to have your opinion... but in my opinion when you don't explain and expect the customer to then ask the questions and figure it out for themselves.. yes, they are being deceitful and trying to rip me off. What if I had not asked and took my bike in. Are they going to just change the 3 oils and charge me between $500-600?? That is being deceitful to me and too me that's screwing people, ripping them off. If I call my dealer and ask them to do a 3 hole oil change and filter... that's what I get... I don't get a made up "Full Service" 3 hole oil change. To each their own. I wouldn't go there either way.
on the other hand, most people don't just take their bike to the dealer for 'just an oil change'. they are doing the 5k, 10k, etc. service. so in effect, getting just an oil change is really more of an 'off menu' item.

Ahhh. I'd disagree... So many people don't put many miles on their bikes, (look at all the garage queens for sale) so 5k, 10k, etc can take years for some to reach the intervals, but you are still going to at least change your oils once a year.

I just bought a 15 year old bike with 12k miles. So at most that's only the 5k and 10k.... but it's 15 oil changes. (making the assumption the oil was changed at least 1x/year)

If you are crying about oil I can’t wait to hear about prices on a Sturgis trip. Price an oil change there and bring your big boy wallet.

$535 must have been a sale they were having.
