Our local dealer here on Vancouver Island is advertising a 3 hole change for 249 Canadian which works out to about 183 US dollars. Not too bad but I still won't pay that as I don't like anyone else working on my motorcycle....

Damb.... So just to make a bit of a correction... I just called them and talked to service. ( I was honestly just curious) The price they gave you is a "Full Service" (Oil Change") They claim they go over the entire bike... (Whatever). I said, no... I just want the cost of a 3 hole oil change. Drop the fluids and put new fluid and filter. $380.00! Holy... Fu*&^^... I told them I can't believe they have anyone bring their bike in. He said they charge $135/hour for labor, it takes them 2.5 hours, + the supplies and miscellaneous shop costs... That just blows my mind if people are actually bringing their bikes into that shop and paying $380 for a freaking OIL CHANGE....

Ya, that is right in line with what I just posted above. $185 USD I just paid the other day.

I bought Michilin commander 3 front amd rear online for $515. Found a local independent shop that mounted and balanced them for $400. He said it was 4 hrs labor and misc shop fees. Seems like alot of labor to me but regardless. They tried to get be to replace the brake pads. They said the fronts were almost grinding. I declined and ordered new pads online and changed them myself. The old pads still had about 30% life left. Definitely not about the be down to metal.

I am changing the fluids myself.

Do it yourself, but if you can`t, find an independent shop.

Paying a dealership service department to change oil is throwing money away.
