Default Mid life crisis, kids, etc.

I'm 39 (40 very, very soon) and bought my 19 FLHC two summers ago. Ever since, people are telling me I'm having a mid life crisis. I've had a motorcycle (usually two at a time) consistently from age 15 to 36 when my daughter (only child) was born. I went nutts and sold my bikes at that point. I completely quit playing live music in bars 3-4 nights a week. I stopped wrenching on my hot rods and sold them. After a two year riding break, I couldn't take it anymore and bought my current ride. These A$$hats can shove it, but it's still annoying. Anyone else experience this BS? I've always been a toys guy, a giant kid. Guitars, boats, hotrods, tools, bikes, etc. Never had money when I was younger, but picked up stuff for nickels and fixed it myself.

I don't worry what other people think, I am happier that way. If someone thinks I am having a midlife crisis that is there problem, I don't make it mine. I have 3 bikes, a camper and a boat, not to mention all the home projects I do.

Yea I got accused of that about 40.
I firmly reminded those folks it was my life.
If it's not going to change the rest of your life tell them off.

Word of warning telling a wife off can change the rest of your life

My mid-life crisis started at 18, and is now in it's 50th year.

I’m 70, and just bought a new to me ‘15 Jaguar XKR convertible with 510 hp supercharged v8. And people said it’s ‘my mid life crisis”. Damn, I don’t want to live to 140!

You can't you have toys and kids? Why did you get rid of everything? You didn't want to be the "cool dad"?

I was told I was having a mid life crisis when I was about 35, buying my first Harley. Then again in 2012 when I got another. Then the RV, boat.... etc. When I got a girlfriend at 50, I told my wife it must be that mid life crisis. She wasn't amused.
