Sound like you have it figured out.

I had a heck of a wake up call the day or first son was born. "Said to my wife I guess this means I have to make some changes." She just said yep.
That was 47 years ago. Felt the same way when second son was born and daughter. You bet I made adjustment along the way.
Every time I purchased a new bike wife added more life insurance. I knew she was smart.

Retired to help care for a disabled granddaughter . Tossed her in a sidecar and away we went.
In a few weeks have RGL triked then start looking for another RG to put Payton's sidecar back on.
Tomorrow firing up my 28 year old FatBoy and taking it for a ride. Then putting a new front tire on the 750 HD.

Family first always.

I’m fortunate in life to have toys and multiple hobbies. I’m still hearing the midlife crisis crap and I’m in my sixties

I wonder what it would be like to let someone live rent-free in my head like that. To be so insanely obsessed with someone that I bring their name up constantly when they haven't even commented on the thread yet. Must be a pretty special person.

Rounders can bring a dying thread back to life. I can't do that...

After I made my last child support payment I bought a new Harley FXR in 1989 as a reward. I have had it ever since and we have travelled many miles together. I am 82 now and still enjoy riding even though I don't ride as much.

That's a very legitimate point my friend! I got into all of these things due to my willingness to wrench/fix just about anything as a poor youngin'. Starting when I was a kid, I picked up beater guitars for $15, Japanese motorcycles in fields for $50, etc. and fixed them up during my free time. So luckily I'm into all of these hobbies much cheaper than most folks would be. I am blessed to have gainful employment though at this point in my life.

That is what I always tell others asking how I can afford motorcycles, my answer is I do not have to pay someone else to work on them, do it myself.
