Formula+ viscoty

Just FYI, this chart is wrong. There is no such thing as SAE 55W gear oil. I presume that is a typo and should be 75W.

School is over
Someone gets schooled and still won’t cop to being wrong in more ways than right, if right at all. Crazy.
As to a forum being an indicator of warranty problems is not only a stretch but ludicrous. Hilarious actually.
And one last bit of my .02, how come folks on a motorcycle forum think they know more than Harley Davidson? Claiming they know engineers or are engineers that know more than Harley Davidson engineers. It’s like some believe Willie G blesses the manufacturing aspect when he’s been key to some design/aesthetic changes, but even then forum posters know more than he does as to the why’s of all Harley’s.
Pure comedy yet not as it’s beaten like a dead horse. Personally I have never met anyone with a majority of the “problems” reported on this or any forum. Most I know who maintain their Harley per the manufacturer’s recommendation whether by Harley, an independent or themselves have smooth running bikes. So much great information is found but assessments of why Harley is a **** company by forum armchair mechanics/engineers really waters down the good information. Ride On! Cheers!

No where did I say that you had to use Formula + in a Harley.
I would not use a hypoid 90W in my however. If someone else wants to, that's fine with me.
On why Harley stopped saying use SYN3 as first choice in owners manuals was my opinion. I assumed they had a reason. They sure are not going to tell you they made a mistake.
But once it started say use SYN 3, sure saw a lot of issues here on the FORUM on primary and transmission issues. That's why I said what I did.
Little help on that W number. So your saying that's not determined by seeing at different temperatures how fast the fluid drips thru a certain size hole?
And don't use those crazy formulas that mean nothing unless you are an oil engineer. What is that W mean in simple terms.
Think for now on in oil threads, I will stick to no more then saying 'Formula + works great year round for me since 2004.'
Maybe then, I won't get the from North and Dan..

May be. Someone pointed that change out on here just a few years ago that he had noticed it. However, on his CVO, it still was first choice.

You have got to be shitting me.
YOU are the one that stated there was a 50w gear oil, not me. You are so completely full of ****.
Start your day drinking early again today?
The chart I posted was a reference in viscosity of SAE motor oil vs Gear oil for a comparison for the OP to view.
