This forum is about Harley Davidson Motorcycles. It’s filled with people who are passionate about HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLES.
Sure sometimes we’re mad about service, pricing or company direction. Maybe we only like the old stuff, maybe we love the new.
Why do some come in here just because they use to own or somewhere have a Harley but have now moved on to some other brand? If you like your other brand.. go to some other forum with your brand in its title.
Recently a guy buys his first Harley but it has a problem. He comes in here looking for advice. He gets some, but why do some start saying IN A HARLEY DAVIDSON FORUM that Harley is junk and he should go buy brand X? I respect the engineering of most brands… but I’m Harley all the way. If your bike is a copy of a Harley why would you brag riding your fake? If your bike is super fast and looks like my wife’s blow dryer.. why come in here to talk about how superior it is? Go to where they love plastic blow dryers.

I have never met a motorcycle I did not like. They are all cool and some better for some people than others. But none of them are perfect. For the last 16 years the only brand for me has been HD. I am a fan boy and will not apologize as I like the brand regardless of factory policies, bad dealers, new model issues, etc. But I would never think of going on a different brand website and forcing the brand I like on someone else and trashing the brand that they love and enjoy. Different strokes for different folks.
We have people that don’t post anywhere but POD and have probably never ridden a motorcycle. Some like to bloviate on every thread started just to hear themselves type. It takes all kinds. My advice to myself and others is just ignore the posts and posters that bring no value, and thank and appreciate those that contribute positively to the forums and earn respect.

Actually most of the ones that have annoyed me are in their late 60’s… these BMW KTR Goldwing touring bikes that are enclosed in Conair blow dryer plastic. Take your ugly plastic and go hang with the other ugly bikes. You know they are closet Can Am future riders.

This forum as enabled me to become very proficient at ignoring posts I don't like.
I have visited a number forums for different kinds of bike's that I have owned.
One thing is for sure this place just has a lot more conversation than most I visited.
Not All good conversations but weeding through the bullshit can sometimes be fun

Harley is an iconic 125+year brand that brings out fierce loyalty and even more fierce bashing. Harley Davidson builds some of the best and worst bikes over the years, just like every other manufacturer. There is no perfect do all bike, nor is there a perfect brand. Just what's perfect for each of us.
No off to the 4runner forum to argue why the First Gen 4-runners are the only real 4runners, then a spin over to the KTM forum to listen to guys whine about KTMs fall from grace. "Race Ready, hell they are barely Ride Ready"

Doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I happen to own Harleys, but I fully understand that all man made mechanical devices have flaws, and some folks were unlucky enough to have bought a Harley that was built on a Monday or Friday and they have valid complaints about quality. It happens to every brand and you either accept it or move to another brand and hopefully have better luck. If they buy another brand and it works out for them more power to them. It doesn't affect me in the least.
