I like H-D. I like a bunch of other brands as well. I try to keep my non-H-D comments in "Off Topic" forum. Sometimes I slip and add non-H-D related comments in the wrong place. It will get worse as I age. BTW, I don't like Hodakas.

Sure sometimes we’re mad about service, pricing or company direction. Maybe we only like the old stuff, maybe we love the new.

Why do some come in here just because they use to own or somewhere have a Harley but have now moved on to some other brand? If you like your other brand.. go to some other forum with your brand in its title.

Recently a guy buys his first Harley but it has a problem. He comes in here looking for advice. He gets some, but why do some start saying IN A HARLEY DAVIDSON FORUM that Harley is junk and he should go buy brand X? I respect the engineering of most brands… but I’m Harley all the way. If your bike is a copy of a Harley why would you brag riding your fake? If your bike is super fast and looks like my wife’s blow dryer.. why come in here to talk about how superior it is? Go to where they love plastic blow dryers.

Rant complete.
I understand if a troll is just trying to stir up trouble. Quite different if someone simply mentions another brand or responds to a derisive comment about another brand.
As usual, people don't like to hear anything negative about what they spent their money on. The answer is not to respond with vitriol and insult. A Harley Road Glide has lots of plastic on it. The Road King and Heritage Softail were designed as replica bikes of older, previous FLs.
Indeed, you could even claim that Harley copied Indian's V-Twin engine design. My point is; So what? Who copies who? The softail rear suspension was not an original Harley design. The use of aluminum cylinders and heads certainly wasn't Harley's idea.
I've had lots of Harleys. The number of different models of Harleys Ive owned would put some of you to shame. Big deal. The bottum line is: People want to have legitimate conversations about their Harleys - even if former Jap bike owners, who now proudly ride Harleys get all bent out of shape. It reminds me of something I noticed years ago. You want to find the most fierce booster of the Harley brand? Find a former Honda rider who now owns a Sportster!

I have found that fanbois for any brand are far more obnoxious than folks who have a legitimate complaint. Harley fanbois are some of the worst...

We have a motorcycle section on my local gun forum in the Carolinas.

We’re a very ecumenical group. Harleys, track racers, sport bikes, dirt bikes, street fighters, trail riders, adventure/dual sport, vintage British racers, you name it.

Because we all sort of know each other from other dealings, everybody plays well together, and like @Cosmic Razorback said, we love motorcycles. It’s a happy little spot on that busy forum and we like it.

But we have Rounders and no other forum (BMW, Goldwing, KTM etc.) has that kind of entertainment.

Every time Rounders enters a thread, somewhere in the world a kitten coughs up a furball....
