I was thinking of trading my 07 roadglide.
I would remove the trunk and turn it back to stock.
Plus trade in my 2000 wide glide or put it on consignment.

For a new 08 roadglide same color as mine.
Am I nuts? I have 10,000 mi on the RG and 11,000 on
the WG.
Oh both are paid off.
Do you mind me asking why?
Not trying to be nosy( although I am being) Just curious.

I traded my '07 Heritage toward my '08 EGC after 12 months and 7900 miles. I got $17,000 for the Heritage and saved $1200 in sales tax.I would have had to sell the Heritage for $18,200 tohave the same deal.I paid MSRP for the '08 EGC.

The dealer sold the Heritage a couple days later for $17,995. Everyone is happy.

I think that is kinda silly to trade in after less than a year. If you love copper so much paint one of your bikes.

I don't know that it is silly. If someone had told me thatI could add cruise control, ABS, Brembo brakes, IDS, 6 gallon tank, tour pak, etc, to my bike for $4000 it would have sounded like a good deal. That's what it cost me to trade.

That just seems odd. They gave you about $1000 less than MSRP, and then sold it for right at MSRP for an 08 (Vivid Black)? Kudos to you for getting that deal, I've never heard of a dealership being that lenient on a bike trade in (car or bikedealership for that matter!)

Well, MSRP for a two tone Heritage with security and freight is $19,245. Thatplus the extras I had installed (pipes, AC, quick detach stuff, SERT) made it attractive to both the dealer and buyer. Like I said, we were all happy. Maybe that why this dealer isn't referred to as a "stealer".

J2 i wish you were in my town i would buy your o8 next yr, this is the most stupid reason every yr there will be a different color a add on so do you buy a 09 because they make a silver black one, personally that copper /black is the reason not to buy
