I thought Harley closed all its dealers and went out of business weeks ago for releasing bikes that are to expensive??
Not to worry. If you are looking and patient, you can find a low-mileage Evolution Softail with an affordable price. I recommend that over a new model.
ok, you made me look, it's been a few decades...
i liked my 1984 as it was a unique combination of what i wanted, first year evo, last year 4 speed, kicker and rear chain.

When they first came out I had to take some time to warm up to them. Something about the fender struts sorta made me go hmmmm for a long while. And, they looked sorta, well, "busy" all over. But, over time it became part of the iconic look that is pleasing to me now. The 90's "Hot Bike" softail era really took off with guys like Ron Simms producing that low, fat, muscle style.
I rode a Fatboy all over the South at that time, and I am currently in the market for an early Evo softail, I guess to re-live my youth. I'll probably finish out my riding on one.
P.S. Finally, the "Curated Content Editor" wieners created a thread that doesn't suck worse than Lonica Mewinsky...
