Got a 07 EGUC.......few years ago had to find a cruise module for it.
Pretty tough to find as they stopped making them in 2005, even for an 07........
And in 08 they put the cruise system in the ECM.
Cost a pretty penny but worth it to keep the cruise on the bike.
Got 65k miles on the bike and hope nothing goes out, but believe that there will be parts out there somewhere.

The current policy of forcing us to to local dealers also poses issues and the parts search on Harley's web site sucks. Looking at replacing my compensator. I've found parts that the web site says are obsolete. The upgraded replacement says it requires additional parts for my year/model. Those parts say they won't fit my bike. Trying to find a dealer that has (or can get) the parts and is allowed to sell them to me is challenging.

Tire
I kinda ran ran into this on rear tire for my 09 Dyna a couple of years ago . No local dealer had the odd 17" rear tire in stock . I could find one online but all the dealers in my area won't install a tire unless you buy it from them . Finally found a shop over a 100 miles away that had one and would install it . Took a couple of months to get a tire .

I had less trouble finding parts for my 25 year old Evo Heritage than I'm having for my '19 Heritage which is still in production. Dealers no longer carry any parts inventory and there's almost no aftermarket support for the new bikes, even though they've been out for six years now.

On a last note, you see none of the black box type electronics for any of them, which worries me even with my M8. Factory proprietary is what I'm seeing. Watched gents hunting for parts for the early EFI systems on the twin cams without much luck years ago. I do believe the Twin cams and currently the M8's is harley edging hard into the designed lifetime game.
I have a 2001 MM FI; I’m thinking of buying one and swapping it out with my still functioning unit (just to insure it’s a working unit) and put mine on the shelf as insurance.
