I too have a box of stock takeoffs cluttering up the garage cabinet.
Orange TS lenses, grab straps, license plate brackets, fender skirt, axle spacers, etc. etc. The same stuff everyone else has piled up in the corners of their garages.
While I can't bear the idea of throwing it away, I have no need for it and they don't have much actual value if I try to sell them.

I'm just going to continue filling the box with parts that I replace and then let my kids deal with it when I'm gone.

Bless his heart. I can understand . Buying a new Harley and all of the emotion going on. But. Not going spend the bucks to change it. Wish I could have got original parts. At least the mirrors are not the "objects are closer than they look" variety.
The Harley-Davidson accessory catalog for my 1998 bike shows that the "Live to Ride, Ride to Live" stuff was HD stuff. Some dealers would put that stuff on the bike on the showroom floor. Or put it on at the request of the original purchaser at time of purchase.

So, it IS Harley-Davidson stuff. But not standard for the year of my bike? Maybe the factory installed it on some factory model? I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

I worked with a guy that had" Live To Ride, Ride To Live " tattooed on his neck. I told i would take it off with my pocket knife.

Old hands used to call that stuff Yuppy Bling when the MoCo jumped hard on that gimmick for a selling point to newbies.

The "Live To Ride" stuff was (and still is) just another collection of dress-up parts from Harley, like the Kahuna or Brass or Defiance or Willie G collections.

I sincerely doubt it was ever offered as stock on any motorcycle, unless (gack) a CVO used it at some point? They usually deck the CVOs out with parts from one of their collections, and I guess it's possible that they could have chose the Live To Ride collection for one year, but I'd be horrified if that were true.

Does Harley make a version of this mirror?

I guess I'm a poser with my gas cap.

60k and counting on my '16 FLHTK

Not counting other rides.

I actually believe in this motto.

I bought a Sportster last summer to tinker on and it is covered with that garbage.
Mirrors, gas cap, derby cover, air filter cover. Just about anywhere someone could put it, it's there. I hate it. Once I get the bike on the road I'll start replacing that sh*t.
