Thumbs up J&P Cycles and Price Match Guarantee

I just wanted to inform/remind everyone that J&P Cycles offers a price match guarantee! J&P Cycles will match any advertised price on new merchandise available through another authorized U.S. dealer. This is a great opportunity if one takes the time to do a bit of price shopping to save some cash. Submitting the information for a price match is simple and can be done a few different ways. I just saved $46 on a $169 product using their price match guarantee. Just thought I'd pass along this potential money saving tip.

Or, on the flipside; one could purchase from the lesser expensive seller and apply pressure to J&P to competatively price thier products in the first place, rather than trying to trap the uninformed customers. A consumer oriented business will monitor competition and price competatively on a pro active basis rather than making their suckers do the work for them for free.

I will only fall for that gimmick, if the first company actually has the best price . But doesn’t have it in stock and I need it .

Is that what Amazon is doing?
I shop from certain companies for various reasons. Just like Amazon, J&P Cycles has a very good website that keeps a history of my orders, has a wish list, knows what vehicles I have so searching for products is simpler, etc. I find these features have value to me.

maybe they already do. but, there is no way that they can scour every conceivable website for every part that they stock. maybe they have widget x, 9 places sell widget x for $15. they price theirs at $13.50. but company z sells it for $12.00. they are already selling at a 'competitive price', but now you are able to get it for even less.

or you could alternative bitch about their high prices and buy it from company z and find maybe they have decent customer service, maybe they don't....

Why not buy from the company that you did not have to beg for the best price? Why reward the company that was charging more than other people?

Skratch gave one good reason
One you know, one you don't

"buy it from company z and find maybe they have decent customer service, maybe they don't"

too, maybe other items are being ordered as well.
One can/will save in shipping ordering from one source

i would like to reward the company that wasn't trying to gouge me. Its not like they are lowering the price after you point it out. I get it might work out for other reasons.

How many reasons do you need? A couple were already given in this thread.
