Default SF Harley Davidson shut down

I was surprised to read this today

https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enth...f4d23ca0&ei=24

I think SF HD and San Jose Harley are owned by the same people

That is a damn shame, it was originally Dudley Perkins HD and was a very busy place when I was was a kid growing up in S.F., I rode by the Page ST location on the bus a zillion times in the 60's and 70's. They made it 110 years, RIP

Harley-Davidson needs to realize that $25,000- $35,000 motorcycles just aren't selling very well.

Perhaps the location was more profitable as something else other than a Harley dealership?

Yeah maybe a halfway house is more purposeful in that location.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it was the longest family-owned dealership until it was sold in 2018. Then when it sold, it was moved to the most recent location on Mission St. The most recent building was a series of auto parts stores, then eagle rider for a year or so, then SF HD for only a couple years.

The dealership died when the old man died and son sold the dealership from the SFO location. Made off like a bandit and took the money and ran. The move to SF didn't help knowing that it's impossible to navigate and find parking in that area.
