Well that's the GREAT thing about it, the caliper and swingarm are so close together that I couldn't get it off with vice grips if I wanted to.

but if you the right tool it would br easier and you can tap them with a brass hammer to help loosen those 12 points loose.

Why the hell do they use TORX at all, I hate em
Because the robots that assemble these and other parts work much better with the Torx. This is to maiximize profit, further selling the US worker (so the country as well) out for money as well as the Harley owner. Then pricing the bike so high anyway as though US workers actuallyassembled it by hand

The torx headed screws on the Harley are NOT just torx, they are Torx Plus. You can get torx plus at Sears and Grainger to name a few.The torx plushas heaverier blades on the drivers. Those, they don't strip as easy.

They are 1/4" not 1/8".....that is on the 2000-2006 brakes. Michaelbarry has an EVO. He has the older brakes with different bolts.

The 12 point caliper bolts are also 10mm. Kinda ironic don't ya think.

THANK YOU, xxx. I know a damn torx from a 12 point..lol.

Now, for the fun part. Why is my brake pedal kinda mushy now? Seriously though, it has to travel a way before it really catches..fluid level looks like it should be enough in the master cylinder..with the bike on the side stand, it's about 3/8" below the top of the master cylinder on the side that the fluid is closest to the top...if that makes any sense.
