Its not auto pilot.

Being afraid of your bike is not going to help in the long run.

Because I like to spend as much time as I can on 2 wheels.
I will be more careful in future - but who's to say something like that can't happen again?

You are taking the bus when it rains you said.

It can happen again if you didn't learn your lesson.

I am not againt this, people make mistakes, things happen fast. I am just against the idea that this is a cure all. Plus I wouldn't trust harley to build an anvil.

Seems to me that HD might have done things right for a change with RDRS - read all the posts where it has saved people from situations like mine...

You are arguing with an anvil. We’re not entirely sure he actually owns a motorcycle.

Is "anvil" an internet speak word? What does it mean?

If the inertia of the motorcycle exceeds the traction of the tires, especially on a slippery road surface, the bike is going to slide whether it has RDRS or not. You go into a turn too fast and hit sand, oil, or anti freeze, the bike is going down, especially since traction control won't allow you to drift the bike through the turn. RDRS is not a silver bullet.

Notwithstanding this - I am confident RDRS would have saved my butt in my incident.

I don't know if this is good so it gives you the confidence to keep riding, or will get you hurt. Some thing to think about on the bus
