If they made a cow catcher attachment for the front of my bike, I swear I'd buy one!

Tomorrow is 3 weeks since the hit. The stitches were removed today, although my foot still looks like Jaws took a bit out of it. Docs are happy with progress, they said I may need a small skin graft, but not certain yet. I'm just starting to take steps without crutches. Still swollen with limited range of motion, but I'm making progress.
The bike will be towed to the dealer tomorrow, and they tell me they'll have a writeup in 2 business days. I'm really anxious to know if it can be repaired.
A new pair of riding boots arrived today, which definitely lifted my spirits. A ways to go yet.

Bluesrider.df, Heal up fast. That vid is scary.
I live in a city suburban area and we're overrun with them; its a plague. They're in our yards, even getting in my plant beds up against my house at night. Dangerous on 2 wheels dusk to dawn. Ran these out of the yard this morning:

My bike is still up in the air. A third party adjuster the insurance company sent out wrote up a small amount of damage, $1,800. I told the guy the bike had a lot of mud on it and he would need to clean some of it off to see the condition, but he didn't listen to me. He missed damage on the tank and rear fender. So that was a waste of time.
We got it to a dealership and they wrote $16K. They specified a new frame, which means a complete tear down of the bike. I know there are scratches on the frame, but I didn't see any structural damage. So I guess it's totaled, right?
I got a call yesterday from someone from my insurance company, he said he is going out to inspect the bike personally in the next day or two. He knew what an engine guard was, that the painted parts would be factory ordered, and that the frame was powder coated. Great, at least he knows what he's talking about.
He said if the damage to the frame was only cosmetic, we could talk about the possibility of having the bike repaired.
I'm up in the air on this. As much as I loved that bike, I've started to get excited about starting over with a Fat Boy 114.
I'm healing, a couple percent each day. It's 4 weeks tomorrow.

Was test riding a softtail through a neighborhood and stopped at a park to clean my sunglasses.
Looked up and noticed 6 deer with 3 of them staring at me.
I fired the bike backup and they took off
OP good to hear your doing better.
