Angry Well it finally happened - dumped it!

It was a rainy morning today when I went to work - I was contemplating driving due to the weather conditions but thought I'd save money on parking by taking the bike. Bad decision - I should have trusted my gut.
I was riding to work contemplating which would be the route of least risk - I chose poorly - It went to turn left onto the highway feeder when, as I was taking off I gave her too much throttle - the back end broke loose - she wobbled a lot - I'm not sure if it qualifies as a highside but the bike went and fell on its left while i Fell off to the right.
Bike wouldn't start (tip over switch which I couldn't reset), the clutch lever was turned around at a weird angle was the main damage I could see.
Had it towed to the dealership and went back home and picked up my car and drove myself to the hospital where after some X rays they gave me the all clear. BAD day!
Wouldn't have happened if I had a bike with RDRS.....

Good to hear you're ok. The bike can be fixed. Yes, I believe in some of the RDRS safety features, along with ABS, etc. probably saved my biscuits more times than I know.

You probably hit an oil slick that the rain caused. Still beats the hell out of getting hit and it being someone else's fault.

I would not say RDRS would have saved the day. I have RDRS. BAS Should have reset after bike is upright and power off then back on.
You walked away that is the best part.

Bikes have two wheels it happens.

Did you put it in neutral to start? I am guessing your bike is new enough to need to be in neutral .

Did power up, but not crank?

Bank angle sensor will say tilt or something on newer bikes I believe.

I am going with newer bikes have kit more power, you have it to much in rain

2 wheels it happens

Morning dew. New rear tire. One my way to work. Yuppers, a hard left turn had the new rear tire slide out from under me. Whoops, down I go. Torn dockers and bloodied elbow. And everyone saw because it was 0645 work day!!

It happens.
