I'm definitely seeing a greater overlap in prices between Sportsters and big twins. Seems anyone with $6k or more can buy any style HD right now.

Inflation has not effected my life other than whining. How many eggs do you buy.

Dollar more on block of cheese. Propane was few hundred, and I felt that writing check in summer. Divide over 12 months not even 50 bucks.

People living close or beyond their means are feeling it. Some of you guys had to cut out the chrome purchases or use generic oil.

I sold my 09 Road King when prices were at their peak.
I owned that bike for 6-7 years and put 40000+ miles on it and turned around and sold it for $100 less than what I paid for it.
But that was in 2021 when prices were nuts. That same bike would sell for about $3000 less now.

Some folks were not living beyond their means, and were on a budget. Those same folks have had to cut back savings, going out to public places, because the monthly necessities have gone up 10-15%. While salaries went up 2-3%.

I know a lot of folks making under $30 an hour, and many making $20 an hour because that's what that region pays for skilled trades. Prices can only go up so far before people stop paying it.

I know several folks who have started or joined CO-OP. Some farmers have started "shared farming" because the corporations refuse to pay more for products. "Shared farming" means a groups of folks pay to all the costs to raise chickens, beef cows and pig to avoid grocery stores. Local farmer markets are returning to what I remember in the 1970s. Families/Co-OPs buying whole cows and pigs and putting into freezers to provide food for several months.

Rounders - glad to know you are rich enough to no be effected. Once again, your arrogance is showing.

Me? I am fine, but I am also working to help someone else most weeks of the year.

I think we are mincing words, merely for the sake of it. If you budget it tight it will affect you. But also think some people are making more out of it than it is. $1 more for eggs, isn't killing me, I don't eat a lot of eggs. I think if you really add it up, unemotionally, it is not as much as you think. As said, my heating went up $40-50 a month. Writing big check, I noticed it, but when averaged over the year, it is not alot, $2-5 more for a beef roast, I only buy one a week if that. I buy more pork, which is cheaper.

$100 a month may be a lot for some. But also then factor in what they spend on junk, it might not be.

I am not saying it has not gone up.

If gas goes up $50 cent, and you drive 1000k month, at 20 mpg, that is $25 a month.

Now if you got a business, you are noticing it more because you are consuming more. But for me buying a block of cheese, loaf of bread, a roast, gallon of milk, 2 liter pop, gallon of whisky, fruit, I am still living my life. But I do complain.

Price of reloading supplies has hurt me more. But still shooting

People like you will say wall Street is just rich people gambling, but for us regular people it is our 401k invested in mutual funds. Last 15 years have had some bad years, but the market has gone up. Sure gave me more hope than I had 15 years ago.

It is very short sighted to see wall street is a reflection of the economy. I am not saying poor people don't get screwed with inflation. But most of us, my whine about $20 more at grocery store, but it hasn't changed our lives a lot. If you are honest and do that math.
I think the hot ones found out they can make more money on OnlyFans.com

I agree 100%… I bought my 2010 street glide $2,000 less than asking, all cash a year ago. Things are getting better, but cash, and patience are king!
be safe, and a happier and safe new year to all !
