RE: Apes. . . what's the deal?
here we are again
apes are not illegal everywhere (just in your mind)
apes are the most comfy bars around (for me)
cornering not effected the least bit (i have wittnesses)
no problem with circulation (for me)
long rides are great (3/5 hundred regulary)
any body that wants to try apes in san diego area drop me a line come ride mine(i'll ride yours)
my apes are only 16 on ane inch risers...

Let me add that I don't have any problems with circulation to my hands (or anywhere else for that matter), or handling issues (in fact, I found her EASIER to handle after I went with the taller bars), and I've ridden plenty of 500+ miles days with the apes.
Cheers!

Inbreeding, socialism and public education to blame, I believe.
Heritage bars on my scoot now but I do want to go with 12" bars... for comfort reasons actually. Probably not much higher but a little better wrist angle maybe.

Wow . . a lot of responses for a dead topic
I suppose comfort is a very subjective and personal thing. I actually found it more comfortable to ride my CBR for 300 mile rides than I do my Sporty. I really can't imagine Apes being more comfortable for the long haul, but again it is a personal thing.

Ape threads always turn out like 1%er, oil, and wave threads. Everyone is right and everyone that disagrees with them is wrong.
