next time you pull up beside a rider with apes at a light, ask him why he's shaking circulation back into his hands.
How much have you ridden with apehangers? I sure have'nt experienced that.

My biggest issue with them is ciculation.

Even my Heratige comes stock with signifint rise in the bars. I haven't measured but I'm guessing 18" or more. I've pulled them back a bit to suit me better but they might still could be considered mini-apes.
I've had no problem with circulation. I just took the stock bars off my heritage this spring, and they were not even close to the height of the 14" apes I put on. You're not even close to mini apes.02 cents

Don't understand why everybody is having the circulation problem, if you ever rode a old pan it shakes so much and rattles you just ride it. These new twin cams are so smoothe I don't understand the circulation problem unless they got a blood vein that cuts off when they raise their arms.

Hay Kolni I had some apes on my sporster back in like 1975, it was the 1st year they came out with the 1000cu engine from the 900 cc. and went to the shifter on the left hand side instead of the right.

there are reasons they are illegal everywhere!!!!
They are not illeagal everywhere. they are only illeagle if they are too high according to the state you are riding in.rule of thumb is if they extend above your shoulders, they are illeagal.

Not in Killafornia - that's +2 for Killa Kali today! Here they can be 6 inches above your shoulders and they are legal! I have 18" apes and they are right about 6" above. I got a ticket by a **** Super Trooper in Murrieta, CA and the judge threw it out. I told the uninformed lad that he should measure the distance above my shoulders the handlebars were because I would see him in court. He refused. I explained it to the judge, he asked the cop if that was true - he told the truth (amazing, I know) and the cop gave him a good talking to as well! Got off on a non-dot helmet at the same time! The cops in Murrieta suck, but the judge was fair!
