How have I made is riding a bike since 1964 without knowing how to countersteer. I'm sure its a great thing. But something I do not see myslef learning. If it came down to having to learn how to countersteer or gitting off my bike. I would sell my H-D, Not !

Sorry guys but I can't go to yer club. I just don't countersteer. I ride the way I ride and that's it.

there are reasons they are illegal everywhere!!!!
They are not illeagal everywhere. they are only illeagle if they are too high according to the state you are riding in.rule of thumb is if they extend above your shoulders, they are illeagal.

What's the purpose of riding with ape-hangers? Or is it just for looks? Please don't take offense to this if you have apes, I am just curious since I've been seeing them more and more lately.
They are the most comfortable bars I've used. A lot more comfortable than stock bars.I've had mine on since May,and it's the best mod I've done to my bike. Just did 4325 mile road trip, and did'nt have the low back, shoulder pain, and neck pain that I would normally have.

If you think you would like apehangers,go for it.I love em. 02 cents

You have to ride with apes for a while to understand them. you can have apes in a few different positions. I rode with them on my bicycles when I was a kid.
I like apes and mini apes on scooters. Them are the untimate bars to ride with. I've been told you can't counter steer good with apes. Well I don't countersteer anyway.
But I like the poistion the apes put you in better than other bars, and I like the looks of apes.
You can take a road king or a electra glide and put a set of apes on it and it changes the whole look of the bike too.
They seeem to either be in yer blood or not.
I've had no problem counter steering here.
