Tall apes are good for one thing, hiding the "beer ****" when riding

BTW, I never waste the chance to post this sweet ride, these are Gorillazzz not simply apes...

I have not seen any apes with a larger diameter of 1.5", so that would be my guess. I have 18" 1 1/4" apes. I love them, and can't imagine ever getting rid of them. They sit right at my shoulder height, and are the most comfortable bar I have ever had on a bike, period. Try them out, if you don't believe me. The only complaint I have ever really read from those that have apes is, they wish they had gone with a taller bar. That is why I went 18" from the git-go.

i got 18 inches total and it puts me in about the same seating position i am in my car sitting. there also vere good for your posture. and as far as handling i feel more comfortable because i can switch my body weight easier than if i had drag bars

How in the name could anyone drive a bike safely like that? Your upper body must feel like its on a rack while taking a relaxing cruise.

there are reasons they are illegal everywhere!!!!
They are not illegal everywhere. It depends on the height of the bars, your hands can't be higher than your shoulders.
