Discounts at the dealers. ya right ... Many dealers subscribe to "Dis counts, Dat counts, Everything counts ... When my local dealer closed a few years ago and transferred all their product and business to Motor City HD I was told that my gift cards issued at my dealer would be honored at their other store ( Motor City ) ... Tried to redeem a $100.00 card and they told me no way ... I even tried to negotiate a 10% discount and turn in the card ... Fat chance

H-D's website lists multiple benefits for active-duty military, but I don't see anything for veterans or LEO except for a discount at the museum, and even that requires a military ID. I see this requirement a lot for veteran discounts but the problem is, most veterans won't have a military ID unless they retired from the military or they're receiving disability benefits.
On the H-D dealer end however, I've received a 5-10% discount at just about every dealer I've been to just by asking. I don't expect or demand a discount, and I certainly didn't join the military to get discounts, but if that's the way a vendor wants to say "thanks" or show their appreciation, I'll humbly accept.
