I’m sure the dealer they took it to for servicing is more than willing to identify everything that they recommend be serviced.

As far as value. Low mileage does not add value. Only the contrary, that high mileage reduces value.

I picture it being kept in someones living room with that low of miles. Once they get the bugs worked out it'll probably be a good bike.

The previous owner of my bike had it for 4 years and it had less than 4000miles on it. He rode it less than 900miles a year.
I can do 900miles in a month EASILY.
I did 4500miles on the bike the first year I had it, I'm on track to surpass that already.
I don't get it.
How do you buy one of these bikes and never ride it?

Yeah I don’t get it either. Why not enjoy what you have bought.

Bought a 2018 Heritage new back in May of 2018.

Just turned 60,000 in the odometer earlier this week.

I would not touch a bike like that unless it was priced way below market value and I had the desire to deal with all the headaches sure to come.

I came upon a 1992 Sportster that had sat in a New Jersey barn for approximately 30 years. I got it for my son who lives in Colorado. We trailered it home and my other son, an aircraft mechanic, worked on it here and there to get in at least running - new battery, carburetor cleaning, oil change, etc.

Then, my Colorado son, flew east and spent a just under a week here working on the bike - new tires, new brakes, fluids changes, running down squawks and the like as well as adding a modest sport fairing/windscreen. After than, he rode that thing to Colorado from New Jersey. He had some minor issues along the way but made it. He since put on a 2 into 1 exhaust, Saddleman seat and detailed the bike to it's previous luster.

This week past the three of us were together in Spearfish, South Dakota rippling up the Black Hills and just touching the fringes of rally set-up - departing before the crowds and craziness.

This one had under 2k. I picked it up in 2020 and it's a 2012. I paid 3500 and gave it to my nephew for the same price. I had the bike for about 2 weeks.

All I did to that one was put air in the tires and my nephew is still riding it.

I have a ‘97 that I bought new. High water mark was 12,300 in a year, low water mark was 210 miles. I had a run of 6 years with only 7200 miles.

Reason for the low mileage years? Just not having any free time to ride or more accurately choosing to spend my limited free time with my young children.

Riding is only one of several things I enjoy in my free time.
