Default Garbing heated jacket liner connection?

The controller for my heated jacket liner stopped working.

Can I connect the jacket liner directly to the battery without a controller?

I know it would be full on anytime I’m plugged in, (I can make a simple make/break switch) just wondering if it will damage the liner?

The number I have for Gerbings is (336) 904-9432. Call them. I suspect they will help you.

Shouldn't be a problem but I would use on off switch to shut it off when gets too warm. Those in line on off switches are available on Amazon.

I would first check to see that all wires are connected. I run the wireless set up. One time my controls stopped working and it turned out the wires had come unplugged from the jacket.

I've used heated gloves for over 20 years. With the 1st gloves I also got the heat controller. Controller crapped out after 4 years. Now all I run is the inline on/off switch into the harness. Switch replaces the controller and very cost effective.

Interesting. Absent the controller, does the heated gear operate on max heat? My jacket would be too hot unless the air temp was in the mid 30s or lower.

Heated gear used to come with an on off switch, the controller was an additional purchase.

Most would probably consider the Gerbing 12 Dual Wireless Remote a luxury item, but I'm digging it. I really enjoy the ability to easily adjust independently the heat for my electric jacket and gloves. Works well.
