Pan America 975 Appears To Be In the Works

In its first year, the Pan Am outsold the previous #1 in class BMW1250GS. In the Bike World 3-day off road shootout, the Pan Am ranked #1, ahead of the BMW and KTM.
I think that’s pretty successful.

That said, I’ve owned two BMW GS’s and after experiencing those, I would not buy an ADV bike over 450 lbs. Under 400 would be even better. Sadly, the Pan Am 975 will be neither.

Well, I guess we have to agree to disagree on the success of the Pan AM. There have been too many issues with the bike...issues that should not have been, and noted here at the forum. And to claim it out sold BMW1250GS in the first year is totally spin of the highest variety. I define a SALE as having happened when a customer gives a Harley Dealer a check for the bike. Harley defines a Sale when they ship a bike from factory to a dealer. THat is totally misleading because that bike may never be sold in a dealership and just sit there. There have also been posts here about that being the case. In reality, all Harley did was load up on bikes being built and then flooded the dealers with shipments all at once. Just another Marketing claim by Harley to hype the product to the press and public.
