I move the SGS slowly to the end of the car port and sit there at idle as I gaze off into distance over the roof tops of the houses across the street it is at this time I ask God to provide me with a safe ride, when I return home I thank Jesus for safe passage.
I listen intently to the sound of the exhaust cooling and other noises coming from the engine, It's a peaceful sound as I take off my gear as I hear my doggo whining at the door waiting for me to come in so she can slobber all over.

My thoughts exactly. I’m never in a rush to get home

Since when has 44 been too cold to ride? I've gone to doctor appointments when it was 40 and raining. Damn near can't get me off the bike, heh! The only time I wasn't on a bike, was the whole year after a cager t-boned me and I was on crutches and couldn't even put on shoes of any kind.

I have read about your many sounds - no one has mentioned the sound of the fan when you pull in on a hot day - lol

This post aged well, considering only a few months after posting it my life would changed. I still enjoy that ticking sound, and now than ever. Thank you for all the feedback. I really do hope it helps put things in perspective. Life really is too short to not enjoy it and know how good we have it just being alive.

I'll be completely divorced by the end of the year and possibly even the end of this month, I most definitely plan on enjoying the rest of my days.
