Wall hanger for Detachable Tour Pac
Craig/Harley Rulz gave me an idea for a wall hanger for Detachable Tour Pacs, so today I cranked up the welder and made one for Arleen's Softail, and one for the EG Classic.
Hangers right after I got them made.
Hangers with the tour pacs on them
Regards,
Bill

Hey Bill,
I had an idea a couple years ago that you might be able to produce. I don't always remove my saddlebags when I wash my bike because it's such a hassle to wash them off the bike while trying not to drop or scratch them. I had an idea for what I called "A Saddlebag Tree". It would require a fairly large base for stability and then a pole up the center with two brackets welded to it that would allow a saddlebag to attach to it (a flat bar with holes and backing brackets so the stock fasteners would attach the saddlebag to the bracket). You would offset the brackets (one about two feet higher than the other so that you would beable to wash the front and back of each saddlebag.
Let me know what you think. I think this would be as useful as the wallhanger. Hell, maybe we could see the idea to the MoCo.

I'm with Harley Rulz, Bill, you should market those. The detachable Tour Pak is becoming more and more popular, you could finance the road trips outta sales!!

Guys,
I made these from an idea that Harley Rulz showed me. There is already someone marketing them, and I would never use someone's elses ideas to try and turn a profit. I'm not sure there is not a patent on the idea. I made them for myself out of some stuff I had laying around, and while they are not exactly like the thing Harley Rulz showed me, they are close.
Terry,
If you could make some sketches of the saddlebag rack you are talking about I'll see what we might be able to do with that.
Regards,
Bill

Believe me.. You have every right and duty as a citizen for the pursuit of happiness.. And if there's no patent, and you enjoy making them.. I say sell a few. hehe I want a couple myself for an 04 fatboy if you're taking orders. Those are grrrrreat.
Actually, since I'm definitely no welder, I wonder if the same thing could be done with a wood frame and some rod run through it?
